Guiding the KMA Foundation Toward a Safer Future
About the KMA Foundation: Our Journey and Mission
Our Story
A Legacy Born from Tragedy
The KMA Foundation was established in memory of those who have lost their lives in traffic accidents, with a particular focus on a beloved individual whose life was cut short by a tragic event on the road. In the wake of a tragic accident in Jefferson County, MO, claiming the life of 20-year-old Kaela Marie Archambault in 2010, her father, Shawn Archambault, embarked on a mission to remember his daughter’s legacy. From this heartfelt initiative emerged the KMA Foundation, an organization bearing Kaela’s initials, while also symbolizing “Keeping Memories Alive.” This loss ignited a passion and a mission to prevent similar tragedies from occurring and to keep the memories of the victims alive. The foundation’s journey began with a small group of dedicated individuals who shared a common goal: to make our roads safer and to honor the lives of those we’ve lost. Over the years, KMA Foundation has grown into a robust organization, advocating for meaningful change, providing support to affected families, and promoting safe driving practices. Through the various programs, events, and initiatives, we’ve created a community of support and advocacy, striving every day to make a difference in the lives of others.
Our mission at the KMA Foundation is simple: to honor the memories of those lost in traffic accidents and to advocate for safer roads to prevent future tragedies. We believe that by promoting responsible driving, supporting affected families, and educating the public about road safety, we can make a significant impact on our communities. Our initiatives, such as scholarships, awareness campaigns, and memorial events, are all aimed at creating a lasting legacy for our loved ones and ensuring that their stories inspire positive change.
