Kaela's Story

by Shawn Archambault

On the morning of Thursday, November 18, 2010, there was an accident along Hwy FF in Jefferson County, MO, that took the life of our sweet daughter, Kaela Marie Archambault. She was not only our daughter, but she also was a sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin and friend to many. Her life was taken from us instantly and without warning to join our Lord and Savior in Heaven. We cannot hug her or hear her voice, but we can be uplifted by her beautiful smile in pictures each and every day we think of her.

We miss Kaela deeply and life does not look the same when we lie down or when we wake up, but we, her family, continue to hold on to God’s promise that we will see each other and celebrate togetherness again in the future. Until we meet again, we hope that God uses us for His will and purpose. It is in this manner that we feel Kaela’s presence in every aspect of the KMA Foundation.

We know that Kaela watches and smiles every time we lift up the memory of a loved one lost; every time that we make a difference in road safety; and every time that we host a program or a fun event to raise awareness of safe driving habits. Her sweet “Hi,” as well as her wisdom and congeniality is missed inexpressively, but our family prays that we honor her memory — and the memory of others who have lost their lives in traffic accidents — in all that we do.
